The EU-directive 2004/23/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 31 March 2004 on setting standards of quality and safety for the donation, procurement, testing, processing, preservation, storage and distribution of human tissues and cells, is a fact.
Since all cellular products are unique there has to be a greater reliance upon the methods, tools and apparatus throughout the validation of the cell or tissue product.


Handling cells and tissue in a closed environment and in a closed system is a very challenging task. Using conventional technology can easily bedevil results and reproducibility.


The Danish biotech company founded in 1997 by three medical doctors, have now produced the first commercially available  third generation precision instrument for safe and correct handling of all kind of biological materials:

The ViVoX TC BiosystemTM has was appointed as reference tool in the 6th. EU-framework programme Euroxy and ViVoX is now a full member of the EU 7th framework programme: METOXIA


The founders of ViVoX have invented, patented and constructed a method for performing e.g. in vitro operations at physiological gas tensions and a new safety principle for increasing safety in  laboratories and patented the apparatus and method world-wide.


ViVoX ApS has since 1994 withheld the full patent rights for the apparatus and method for handling biological material at physiologically correct low oxygen gas tensions in an enclosure.  

ViVoX Minilaboratory meets requirements to apparatus for quality and safety of human tissue and cells in accordance to the EU - directives as well as the FDA directives.
